Dave Again Goes Into The Lions Den
As a Guest On Christian Radio

I just finished being a guest on a Portland's KPDQ? (800am) True Talk Christian radio talk show with Mary Servick. For 1.5 hours I think I did a good job supporting polyamory and swinging as a legitimate Christian option against Pastor Bill Perkins who writes many books on Christian sexual purity, materials for Promise Keepers etc. They even had theme songs between commercial breaks about monogamy like "One should love only One"!

Sometimes it is hard to realize what much of the rest of the world thinks until we get into these kinds of formats. We that have more open views are often isolated from the uptight "monogamy is the only moral option" thinking world.

It was a good show and I feel I got my points across even when 100% of the callers and the Pastor were all totally against our views. It was only supposed to be a one hour show but they extended it saying it was so interesting.

Pastor Perkins mentioned he tried to look up our libchrist.com web site but he couldn't even view it himself since it is blocked by "Integrity On Line" software he uses to protect himself? from viewing offensive material! I made the comment this is what lots of folks are upset with Christianity about. Our site has no sexy pictures just another view of Christian sexuality yet Christian groups want to deny access to any views other than the traditional views of sexual repression.

My summary was pointing out why so many Christians flee Christianity because they know in their hearts that Love doesn't just have to be monogamous and many find more spiritual truth in Eastern beliefs that wonderfully integrate sexuality and spirituality much more compatible with their own spirits. But it is the false traditions of sexual repression and monogamy only teachings that have no biblical basis that is the problem, not biblical Christianity.

I was contacted by the host after she had heard me "hold my own", and discuss issues intelligently against those who disagreed, when I was an in-studio guest on KFYI in Phoenix.

Please don't tell all the Christian radio stations about us! It's emotionally and mentally exhausting to argue against all those with traditional conservative sexually repressive beliefs!

Yet some of us feel we want to expose even traditional Christians to responsible nonmonogamy ideas We get so many letters from those that when they do take the time to look at our ideas with an open mind they found that Loving More ideas makes much more sense that traditionally taught monogamy only teachings.
