Very nice site with much beneficial information. I too feel there are many misconceptions about sexuality. Your site helps people sort through some of their own earlier conditioning and perhaps misunderstandings. God doesn't make mistakes and sexuality certainly is an important part of the human experience. Sex, just like any other gift we are give, can be used for love or for harm, thats where free will comes in. I happened on this website quite by accident and feel that I was almost led here (you know what I mean). I was raised in a Roman Catholic home by devout Roman Catholic parents but never felt quite right in that church. When I met my wife, she was a semi-practicing Assemblies of God church-goer and I felt more comfortable there. I even became a credentialed minister with the A/G! But the more I studied as I preached and pastored, the more I felt like something was missing. My wife and I decided to explore the world of open marriage and swinging and we found that our marriage (which was on the verge of divorce) was exponentially better than ever! We have not been back to an A/G church (or any other mainstream church) since. This site has given me much to ponder and research. Thank you for this information.

I am so very glad you are here! It has shocked myself, my husband, and my housemates how quickly and easily I have embraced a polyamorous lifestyle. After two and a half decades in the Christian community, I was shocked to receive only warm,satisfying feelings when praying about the possibility of expanding our relationships. Matthew 7 The Narrow Way (1) 13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Have you read the entire bible? Do you ask the Jesus to reveal truth through the Holy Spirit? The bible is a manual for richteousness and eternity, not to give us a pleasurable life here on earth. We are never supposed to feel at home here. The bible is a manual to get us right with God in order to spend eternity with Him. The whole focus of the bible is to learn how to be obedient to God in spirit and in truth and to love Him and his perfect and richteous ways. It is not to take and choose what you like in order to form some sort of 'enlightened' state here on earth. We are allowed to suffer here on earth. It gets us ready for eternity. An eternal perspective will grant you an accurate view of the bible. God is forever and he is the giver of eternal life. Eternity is a whole lot longer than 80 years here on earth. He is leading us back into His heart. We have all gone astray by doing the same kind of things which you teach (liberalism, aka man-made wordly teachings). God knows what is right for us and how He wants us to be. We are simply to follow Him in everything. We do not add our own fallible ideas to filter God's word. Jesus says that if we love Him, we will do what He commands of us. Are you doing what God commands of You? I fall all the time. None of us are perfect. But the goal is to try with all your strength to follow God perfectly. I encourage you to do the same. God Bless you.
Weston: That was a nice sermon that I agree with. Yes, I read the bible and research it based on the language and understanding in which it was written - before perverted by some agendas. I have no idea what your good comments have to do with swinging or polyamory where there certainly is no sin or wrong involved.

Read the extensive bibliography from many Christians ministers and theologians. I didn't originate any of these ideas, just spent many years researching them. In fact if you read my bio I started out to prove my traditional conservative beliefs were correct but slowly it became clear in research I had been lied to by Church traditions that had no biblical basis.

Since this is the only place I can ask questions about your institution, please don't disregard it as "preaching." You guys wrote some things that don't seem to be backed up pretty well. Like you said that in the Old Testament Hebrew and the New Testament Greek, there was no condemnation from God about homosexuality, only not to change your sexual orientation or things like that, but could you point out where those passages are? Also, to answer your challenge to read the Bible and see if there is any scripture where God designed only monogamous relationships, Genesis 2:24 gives pretty good evidence.I don't know, it just seems to me that you guys are the ones that aren't looking deep enough into the scriptures. Read Romans 1:18-32. And another thing, why don't you guys give your credentials, like where you went to school and everything, because with out them, I'm suspicious of your qualifications to lead people in such destructive ideas. You'll probably delete this comment, just because you don't like it. Oh well, it just shows that you don't have guts. If you do, you'll e-mail me with some actual proof.

For a long time I felt that our community's attitude to sex and relationships has been limited to a very narrow view. I am so glad to have come across this site. Perhaps through reading it's content and participating in discussions with the community here I will understand what god is saying to me. OK Everyone, listen up. Sex and emotional approval feels good. Hence, human nature will do almost, if not, ANYTHING to defend these experiences. Also, human nature tends to feel empty and pointless without that soulmate "connection," so, once agian, we will do many things to protect our feelings and experiences. The question remains: To whom is mankind, specifically ourselves, accountable... our emotions or God's Word e.g. KJV, NKJV, NIV, NASB, etc? Both the Old and New Testements explicitly prohibit heterosexual fornication, lust, beastality, rape, and yes, homosexuality. Agreed, North American Evangelical Christian Churchs have FAILED to meet the needs of many wounded generations, and unfortunately, many legalistic (cold)Chrisatin Churches as well as individual believers have betrayed the homosexual community in many ways. But regardless of our corportae and individual sins against you, never, never be convinced that God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit approve of and/or excuse unrepentent homosexual behavior.
Please go to the Forum to discuss issues rather than preach on the Guestbook. Obviously you are biblically ignorant just following the traditions that have no biblical basis. There clearly is nothing biblically wrong with responsible sexuality for singles or swing couples etc. You are just showing your ignorance and obviously haven't read seriously the huge biblical section here at libchrist.com or you would know not to preach to those that take the bible more seriously to understand the lies of traditions vs the original biblical texts as understood in the culture in which written.

Hello, I have been in the "lifestyle" for about 6 years now. I am married and the sex stopped totally 6 1/2 years ago. I have met a lot of very good friends over the years. For the past 2 yrs or so I have been having this feeling that what I am doing is not wrong in God's eyes. I am active in my church - a sunday school teacher, VBS director and I am on the discipleship team. I attend church every Sunday morning and evening service. I started attending swing parties a little over a year ago. The friendship and openness of these parties only confirmed what I was doing could not be wrong. Then I started to think that the translators and/or "political" herarcy had added to God's word to keep the people in line. Then I stumble on an article at Eros.com and read exactly what I had suspected for the past years. This is so exciting !! VERMONT NUDIST LAND TRUST As each year goes by, we, as nudists in Vermont, are losing our Nudist sunning areas, beaches and outdoor recreation spots one by one. The demise of The Ledges, the uncertainty and police problems at Huntington Gorge and the banning of nudity in other areas of Vermont due to local ordinances are leaving nudists with no where to go for outdoor recreation. It is time for Nudists of Vermont and those from other states who come and enjoy our nudist places, to join forces to take back our lost Nudist areas and to create new ones. We cannot continue to allow the conservative fringe, religious right and other close-minded people to do as they please, while we say and do nothing and simply allow our nudist areas to be taken away from us. It won't be long before we have no where to go and we see the end to a long standing Vermont tradition. We must do something now! We propose the creation of a Nudist Land Trust in the State of Vermont. This Land Trust, funded by contributions from individuals, businesses and fund raising, would allow Vermont Nudists to purchase land for the sole purpose of nude recreation. By purchasing our own land, we eliminate irate landowners, angry boaters, law enforcement intrusion and all the other problems that Nudists face while nude outdoors. The land would be bought and governed by each and every one of you, the Nudist community, via an elected Board of Directors. In the very near future, we will be hosting informal gatherings to discuss a possible Land Trust. The dates, times and places of these gatherings will be announced well in advance. In the meantime, we are creating a website for Nudists with the main feature being constantly updated information on our proposed Land Trust. We will also be including message boards for discussions. We anticipate the website's completion within the next couple of weeks. Please do your part and forward a copy of this message to your Nudist friends, family and Nudist supporters. Posting copies on any and all Nudist websites that you frequent would be appreciated. Please help us spread the word far and wide! I am a 64 year old single male, who has always had a hard time trying to be a good church member, when I loved being nude, and active sexualy. I have my faith in GOD, and he an I talk everyday but he has never made me feel gualty about my desire to be nude or active with sex. I would love to meet others in my area who feel the same. I found this site by accident while doing a Google search on love swings because my girlfriend and I had talked about them and I was curious. I am a Chistian and have been since I was old enough to understand it. I have also grown up in a family and Churches with very conservative views on sex. I have been wrestling with these issues in relation to my faith for about 5 years now,.. to the point of severe depression, religious anxiety, psychotherapy, medications(which ironically totally kill your sexual funtions) and thoughts of suicide.. and without MEDICAL INSURANCE. All this time just wanting to be sexually fulfilled because I am not married yet. I am now 30 years old. I never even masterbated until I was out of college because a youth pastor in my teens had told me it was a sin. This site has been really helping me work out some of these issues. I'm not sure about everything on the site yet. But I don't feel as alone anymore and I pray that what ever conclusions in the future I arrive at that my relationship with God will be renewed. And I hope to be able to meet some like minded Christians that can spiritually, historically and academically support me with all this stuff so that I can feel more secure and solid in my beliefs,because I dont know much about church history and feel like I've been brainwashed all these years. Love this site! Do feel guilty at times that we must have the physical attraction to get things going with another couple in a physical sense. Have enjoyed trying to find the good souls out there in the lifestyle and aiding people with various issues. Find that following the "golden rule" is even more important in this lifestyle than anywhere else because of the "exposure" of our intimacies. Also enjoy the truth behind most of this site..., very enlightening to say the least. We have found that we get along best when the "hollywood" attractive couples leave their egos at the door. I am a survivor of sexual abuse by a catholic nun during counselling over a number of years, I live in Australia. I am also a survivor of the complaints process within the church 'Towards Healing'. I belong to a support group 'Habits of Sin' called after the excellent book written by Ashley Hill. Since I won my case, I am concentrating on establishing a network. It is not only men and women who are affected. There are many former nuns who have been raped/sexual assaulted ny nuns in their communities. These women have had to leave their religious orders, due to the abuse. It seems to me that the catholic church has a lot to answer for, religious orders appear to be a law unto themselves within the church, answerable to no one but themselves.!!!!!!!! I am wondering if there are men and women out there who have been abused as children by the Nazareth Sisters in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand. I am in touch with a number of these women. I thought that the Magadelene Sisters film was horrific, you should hear the stories from these women. I will hold your story and information in sacred trust, as I would have you hold mine. Very good website. I think it's interesting how you and another website complement each other. The Polyamory Society (www.polyamorysociety.org) explains this lifestyle scientifically, yours explains it in biblical/ religious terms. I used the links to read All About Sex for teenagers, VERY glad someone takes teen a d u l t s seriously! Only one serious drawback. I'm amazed that you can come down in favor of circumcision. If you simply want to point out an article published recently, you might also point to articles printed in Mothering magazine {They're by Dr. Paul Fleiss, title "The Case Against Circumcision" and "Protect Your Uncircumcised Child"} This is plenty to read; or you can sift many more sites on the internet. On the face of it, cutting off anything to prevent centuries-in-the future illness is ridiculous. People would say as much, if you mentioned a study that glaucoma or hand problems are lower among people who as babies had their eyelid or fingernail ripped off. The good you are doing outweighs even that serious objection. The most important thing you have done, one that noone else has, is point out that we don't let children grow up. I started reading your articles just over two years ago and found them interesting. My wife and I are from a very conservative background. I became a Christian at age 26, I am now 51. I had fantasies for many years and had even shared them with my wife. She listened, but did not take me serioulsy.
