THE MEDICAL FACTS

It is nothing more than an emotionally charged lie to consider first trimester fetal tissue as a baby. The Anti-women's choice fanatics spread lies of horror with such movies as the Silent Scream. Some argue the presence of brain waves in early gestation. But these "waves" are nothing more than very primitive brain stem activity which control autonomic responses. The cerebro cortex doesn't start to function until about the same time as the outer edge of viability - 20 to 22 weeks, long after most abortions are done. What is the significance of a beating heart without a brain? A scientist can make a heart beat in a petri dish. 50% of abortions are by 8 weeks gestation, 90% by the end of the first trimester (12 weeks). Only 1% are performed after 20 weeks, usually to save the women's life.

Most abortions are done when the embryo is not even a fetus. But even a fetus is clearly part of the women until it has natural viability via natural childbirth (not advanced medical procedures). The fetus breathes through the women's lungs, just like every other cell in the women's body. It's homeostasis is regulated by the women's kidneys and liver, just like every other cell. The glucose supplied to the fetus is digested by the women's GI tract, etc, etc, it is simply tissue part of the women medically.

God allows 50-75% of all conceptions to die. Its a fact of nature the fertilized egg is very disposable. God also gives man the ability to control our lives and nature. I find it hard to believe that God wants us to overrun the earth as we already have with worldwide famine due to overpopulation. To have unlimited reproduction is a disaster.

Is a Doctor wrong with interfering with natural death by modern medical techniques by allowing someone to live many years after God started the process of dying? Preventing a child from dying helps overpopulate the world. Overpopulation always has led to disease, famine, war, poverty and crime. Do we help overpopulation by not helping real live born people? It seems much more reasonable to stop reproduction by early abortion for those who are select it. "I thought the dead who have died, more fortunate than the living who are still alive, but better than both is the one who has not yet been." Eccles 4:2-3

In Biblical times abortion was attempted by dubious herbal abortifacients (pennyroyal, etc.), as well as women who wrote manuals on abortion. Yet the Bible does not consider this as an important enough issue to even address. Sticks were also available! Today safe early abortions seem very biblical.

Ruining young girls and women's lives by forcing an unwanted child against her will is certainly not loving your neighbor! The claim that a fertilized egg has more rights than the alive women is one of the most destructive evil things mankind does to its women. It is also destroying the earth. God has given us ways to prevent this - medically safe abortions. Forcing women back to back alley abortions is what is immoral.
