Note: Liberated Christians is a primarily about heterosexual relationships. While we are supportive of all sexual orientations, the leaders do not have the resources to assist them in their special issues. Thus, our Fellowship groups are not appropriate for gays/lesbians. However, individually Dave (an extreme heterosexual - Kinsey Scale= 0) has done extensive biblical research and has been active supporting biblical homosexuality for many years. However, there is no "official" stand as an organization on homosexuality other than general support.

Homosexualilty Very Different Than Biblical Pederasty

By the term homosexual I am referring to loving relationships built on mutual respect between two consenting adults of the same gender. This has absolutely nothing to do with the terrible acts of pederasty that scripture condemns as sin. The difference is as far as a pedophile is from a caring loving father who hugs his daughter with no sexual intent.

A serious study of the Greek words and biblical culture will reveal that references to homosexuality are really references to Pederasty The Bible condemns homosexual practices as a heterosexual male degrading another heterosexual male by axxl intercourse after capturing them in battle as well as a form of pederasty Ž that was unnatural.

Many biblical scholars show that the Bible says nothing about what we know today of homosexuality. In the new testament, a Greek word study clearly indicates that Paul was discussing the Greek-Roman practice of pederasty or male prostitution, not homosexuality between two consenting, same age, non prostitute loving male couples.

The practice of pederasty falls into three distinct styles. First is the voluntary relationship between an older man and a young boy. Second is the practice of slave prostitutes. Third is that of the effeminate "call boy" or prostitute. Other homosexual practices included a heterosexual male degrading another heterosexual male by axxl intercourse after capturing them in battle. I don't like the term sodomy since the sin of Sodom had nothing to do with homosexuality Ž but the attempted rape of WOMEN by the men of Sodom which were probably heterosexual!

Pederasty including young boys acting as prostitutes for older males. In the Greek, "Erastes" and "paiderastes" are the terms which describe the older adult who takes an active role in pederasty. "Eromenos" and "paidika" are the terms for the younger passive partner. There are two sub classifications "pais" means a boy before puberty, and "meirakion" means a youth past puberty. The noun "charis" and the verb "charidesthai" refer to the granting of sexual favors, as in the younger partner granting favor to the older man.

There is no evidence of any references to same-age, same-sex, equal loving relationships in the Bible.

It is interesting to note the passage where Jesus even blesses what seems to be a pederasty relationship of the Centurion soldier and his slave boy servant. Jesus says his love for the boy is especially to be praised! Jesus never said one word, even mistranslated concerning homosexuality.
